How to Create Ticket Types and Price Lists
- 1. From ACME Back Office, click on Pricing on the left navigation menu.
- 2. You will need to create ticket types before we can build price lists. click on Categories.
- 3. In Categories, click on New Category to create a new ticket type.
- 4. Type in the name of the ticket type you are creating. You can type in a description (age range, price, programs this ticket will be used for, etc.) but it is optional.
- 5. Click on Save to create the new ticket type. Repeat steps 3 - 5 until all ticket types you need are created.
- 6. Once you have created all the ticket types needed, click on Price Lists on the left hand navigation menu to start building new price lists.
- 7. Click on Create Price List to create a new price list.
- 8. In this example, we will be building the price list for General Admission. Name your price list as appropriate. You can enter a description if needed but it is optional.
- 9. Click on the calendar icon to choose an effective start date.
- 10. Click on Create Price List
- 11. The price list has been created. Click on Edit List at the top right to add ticket types to the new price list.
- 12. Choose your first Ticket Category from the drop down list. You can enter a description here if needed.
- 13. Type in the appropriate price.
- 14. Click on Add Price to add this ticket type to your price list. Repeat steps 12 - 14 until you have added all ticket types to the price list.
- 15. Once all ticket types have been added, you can decide which tickets will be available through which sales channels. Always keep Customer Rep. checked as that will allow ACME Support to troubleshoot any issues with this price list.
- 16. Click on Save & Close to save your price list.
- 17. Once you’re created your price list, if you want to add/remove ticket types, change the descriptions, or change the sales channels, click on Edit List.
- 18. Make any changes as needed.
- 19. Click on Save & Close to finalize changes.
- 20. If you need to create a new price list with the same ticket types, you can duplicate this list by hitting Duplicate List
- 21. Type in the name for your new price list.
- 22. Click on Add Price List
- 23. Click on Edit List to make changes to the ticket types, prices and sales channels.
- 24. Make any changes as necessary.
- 25. Click on Save & Close to finalize the new price list. The price lists are now ready to be added to the events!
Creating Ticket Types and Price Lists

For admission types, Individual is for any ticket that denotes a ticket for one person, Combo is for groups of ticket types (i.e. Family pass with 2 Adult, 2 Children) and Membership is for membership (not member ticket) purchases. Most tickets will fall under Individual.
The status of a new ticket category should always be Live. Deactivating means it will not be available to add to price lists. If you deactivate a ticket category after it has already been added to a price list, you will have to go into each price list where it exists and remove it manually.
5. Click on Save to create the new ticket type. Repeat steps 3 - 5 until all ticket types you need are created.
6. Once you have created all the ticket types needed, click on Price Lists on the left hand navigation menu to start building new price lists.

Please note that both the Start and End Date are optional and are for reference only. They do not restrict the usage of this price list.

13. Type in the appropriate price.
If the ticket price is a whole number, you do not need to enter cents (i.e. “.00”) as it will be added automatically.
14. Click on Add Price to add this ticket type to your price list. Repeat steps 12 - 14 until you have added all ticket types to the price list.
15. Once all ticket types have been added, you can decide which tickets will be available through which sales channels. Always keep Customer Rep. checked as that will allow ACME Support to troubleshoot any issues with this price list.
