Sendgrid: ACME Email Templates
The following documentation reviews NHM’s current and live Sendgrid email templates in detail.
ACME Order Confirmation
This email template is for purchases of tickets, memberships and donations. Due to the variety this email covers, there are many confitional statements that account for the population of specific language and data objects that pertain to the purchased item and the purchase of multiple items.
The following is the everything in the email template:

The Img on line 8 is the NHMLAC logo at the head of the email. 9: Using the handlebars “equals” conditional, this wraps the entire email with a condition of if the purchased event name is Dinosaur Ball then do lines 10-45 and if it doesn’t then do lines 47-247. |

ACME Order Cancellation
This email template is for orders that were refunded or voided. It has little conditionals use and simply calls on data objects like with revelant html copy.
The data object sets used are: Order. See example below of basic object handlebars use:
The code above uses only two simple object calls using handlebars, orderNumber and orderDate.
ACME Order Rebook
This email template is for rebooked orders/order items. There are no conditionals necessary, basic object calls are used to provide information on updated order details.
The data object sets used are: order, rebooks, orderItems and confirmationMessages . See example below of conditional rendering and conditional nesting:
The information given in the email above reflects rebooked order details (changed Butterfly Pavilion to a new timeslot).
ACME Order Cancellation with Cancellation Message
This is what ACME considers a “Bulk Email Template” as it is triggered when cancelling an event instance and the email is sent to all those that have booked into the cancelled event. There are three objects being called by handlebars in this email and they are: orderNumber, cancelledEventName, cancellationMessage.
ACME Order Reschedule
This is what ACME considers a “Bulk Email Template” as it is triggered when an event instance date and/or time are updated. The email is sent to all those that have booked into the rescheduled event. The format of the email includes two Order Detail sections, Updated Order Details with the new date/time of the rescheduled event and the Original Order Details. There are three object data sets being called by handlebars in this email and they are: reschedules, originals and orderItems. See example below:
There are no conditionals functionality in the email, it is using the data object sets to share the updated event/order details and the original event/order details.
