How to cancel Memberships

ADMIN: Membership Cancellation

To cancel or refund a membership, the membership level and offering configuration setting for cancellation needs to be modified. This will allow a membership staff member to complete the membership cancellation at POS. Once the membership staff member has completed the cancellation, reset to the cancellation configuration by unchecking the “POS” cancellation on the level and offering to prevent further cancellations without an approval.

Currently cancellations can only happen on POS.

Ensure you have the following information prior to beginning:

  • Member number or name, membership level and offering (annual, 2 year)

  • Before modifying configuration settings, coordinate with the advancement point of contact to ensure the process is completed in a timely manner. The goal is to finish this 2 person process in 5-20 minutes

1. STAGE 1:

2. Click on the Membership tab

4. Click Edit on the membership level that needs to be returned

i.e. An “Individual” membership needs to be cancelled Step 4 screenshot

5. Click on OFFERINGS

6. Click on Edit of the offering that needs to be returned

7. Click on CHANNEL TRANSACTION POLICIES

8. Check Point of Sale (POS) under “Members can Cancel”

9. Click on Save & Close at the top right

10. STAGE 2:

11. When the point of contact has finished cancelling the membership and updated you, reverse the settings. Click on Members > Levels

12. Click Edit on the membership level that needs to be reverted back to its’ original settings

14. Click Edit on the offering that needs to be reverted back to its’ original settings

15. Click on CHANNEL TRANSACTION POLICIES

16. Uncheck Point of Sale (POS) under the “Members can Cancel” section

17. Click on Save & Close to complete the member cancellation process
